Seasonal Feeding Guide
Autumn:-
Transition from higher-protein summer foods as temperatures begin to fall. Wheatgerm helps medaka adjust to a slower metabolism while maintaining condition before winter.
Winter:-
Feed sparingly during mild periods when medaka remain active and continue to show interest in food. Reduce feeding frequency as temperatures drop.

A seasonal feeding approach is an important part of Japanese-style medaka keeping. Warmer months allow for richer growth and conditioning diets, while cooler months benefit from easily digestible wheatgerm-based foods that support long-term health and vitality.

Fish food should only be used for up to a year after opening due to a reduction in the levels of vitamins and minerals etc. Food should also be stored in a cool dry place, or a refrigerator.
I am selling 50g packets of food that have been taken from a larger bag so the original packaging is not available. The smallest size bag that this food can be purchased as is 500g, but since you will only be using a small amount within the 12 month period, you will be wasting a considerable amount.
These are small pellets that can be crushed / ground down to a suitable size for medaka. I use a spice grinder.
