These pads provide a fantastic spawning surface for Medaka, while giving you two different ways to use them depending on your breeding setup.

🐟 Method 1 — Traditional Spawning Mop

Use the pad in a conventional Medaka spawning-mop style:

• Cut to your preferred size and shape.

• Tease or separate the fibres slightly to create plenty of surfaces for eggs to attach to.

• Place or suspend the pad in your breeding tub.

• Medaka can weave through the fibres and attach their eggs naturally.

• Remove the spawning pad when collecting eggs and replace with a fresh one.

🔗 Method 2 — Flexible Pad Mop

For even greater versatility, the pads can be folded, rolled or grouped together and secured with a cable tie, creating an alternative spawning mop similar to the style shown in the photographs.

This method allows you to:

• Create a compact, dense spawning area.

• Adjust the shape and size to suit your tub.

• Position the mop vertically, horizontally or at an angle.

• Easily remove the entire mop for egg collection.

• Open the pad back up when cleaning and preparing it for reuse.
